We are delighted to welcome Aamir Raza to the Precision Agriculture Center at the University of Minnesota as a Research Specialist. With a strong background in precision agriculture, irrigation water management, crop modeling, and sustainable agriculture, Aamir brings extensive expertise and a passion for innovation to our team.

  • Academic Excellence: Gold medalist in M.Sc. (Hons) Agricultural Engineering from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, graduating with a remarkable CGPA of 3.97/4.00.
  • Research Contributions: Published numerous papers on precision irrigation, remote sensing applications, and sustainable agriculture in esteemed journals and conferences.
  • Professional Recognition: Recipient of multiple scholarships and awards, including the prestigious Pakistan Engineering Congress Scholarship and UAF Merit Scholarship.

Research Contributions:

Aamir’s research focuses on integrating field measurements, crop and soil sensing, geospatial techniques, and machine learning to develop innovative management solutions for improving crop yield, water use efficiency, and environmental protection. Notable projects include:

  • Precision Irrigation Systems: Developed low-cost indigenized soil moisture sensors to automate irrigation processes.
